Angelique EagleWoman - Keynote Address (Synopsis): Native Law and Treaties

This is a short synopsis of the keynote address entitled "Native Law and Treaties" that was presented by Angelique EagleWoman on March 15, 2014, in Boise, ID, at a conference entitled "Native American Presence in Southern Idaho". This conference was organized by the Kessler-Keener Foundation and the Red River Powwow Association to promote understanding of the whole story of the Native American experience in Idaho. At the time of her presentation, Angelique EagleWoman (Sisseton-Wahpeton Oyate of the Lake Traverse Reservation) is the James E. Rogers Fellow in American Indian Law at the University of Idaho School of Law. She has a distinguished record of academic and legal accomplishments including co-authorship of a definitive treatise on Native American Law entitled "Mastering American Indian Law". She teaches in the areas of Native American Law, Native Natural Resources Law, Tribal Economics and Law, and Civil Procedure.
